ADD OUR SESSION TO YOUR CALENDAR
When you book I will send you a Google Calendar invite to you via email. Please add your session to your calendar as nothing sucks more than us having to reschedule because you forgot. Thank you
NAIL DOWN WHAT YOU’D LIKE TO LEARN
Yes it may be that this is a broad thing if you have very little knowledge of Lightroom and Photoshop, but make a list. And if there’s something you’re not interested in learning then write that down too.
SEND ME IMAGES
If you have any images you’d like us to work on during our session then please wetransfer or Dropbox them to me asap to info@larissajoice.co.uk
MAKE SURE YOUR SESSION IS AS CALM AND RELAXED AS POSSIBLE
Please do whatever you can to relax ahead of our session. Meditate, have a cup of tea / coffee / vape / go for a walk / clean something / have a bath. Whatever your thing is you need to do to chill out. If you’re stressed then things won’t stick. Make sure the kids / partner are busy with tv / food / family and teenagers know they can fend for themselves and won’t die in the space of an hour while you have your own time. Put the dog out and give them a chew to keep them busy, feed the cat … all those things!
Obviously we can’t hide from all of the stresses in our lives. But we can prepare ahead of time so that for an hour we can focus on the task at hand. Thank you.
ASK QUESTIONS AND PIPE UP / BUTT INÂ
I WANT you to tell me if I went too fast, if you missed anything or if it didn’t sink in. If your brain went off on a tangent while I was talking that’s fine. Just tell me and I’ll happily go over it again until you have it down. Honestly. I will!
DON’T RUSH
If you’re able, don’t schedule anything right after the end of your session. I want you to feel relaxed throughout and not clock watching. This means we can round the session off gently rather than me shutting you off at the hour. It’s not how I work.
This means NONE of this –
And a WHOLE LOT of this –
BE PREPARED TO PUT SOME TIME IN
I can show you all the things but you’ll need to take the time to process them yourself, play with the tools and learn them. You’ll need to be patient and kind to yourself and not expect to know everything overnight. I can give you the tools and show you the path. But you’ll need to walk it. (Oooh get me, all philosophising!) Sadly this is not The Matrix.
One can simply not just ‘know Kung-fu’. However wouldn’t it be SO much easier if we could?!
